Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's aptitude for sports was evident right from the first day she began her studies at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003. She was then accepted into University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix's debut Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record taking 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating the long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She was consistently among the top three in all races.
